After competing in numerous dancing competitions, she started acting when she reached 17 years old. Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze became her motivation to becoming an actor. In the summer of 2001, Cook got married to her long-time partner Nathan Andersen, whom she met in a film class during her time at Utah Valley University. Mekhai Allan Andersen is the father of the couple. He was born in the month of September 2008. She is currently residing in Los Angeles
