Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was thought to be one of the sport's greatest athletes. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s the first gymnast of female gender to be awarded four gold medals. She also won the world championship for all-around 3 times in succession (2013-15). Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. Biles and her sister Adria had been adopted by Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone first became interested in gymnastics when she was just 6. Her coach Aimee Borman brought her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went to an excursion. Biles was a winner in the floor and vault exercises at the 2009 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the highest level of competition in 2011. In just two short years, she had become the most successful athlete in her discipline. What stood Biles apart was the consistency of her exuberant personality and the extreme level of effort she put into her workout routines for every event - vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercises.
